Rick J. Krause, M.S.W., is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology; he also has a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. He is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and of the Academy of Certified Social Workers.

His practice includes individual, family, and marital therapy. He also provides Employee Assistance Programs to various organizations and businesses in Oklahoma. He gives seminars and lectures on relaxation, stress management, developing loving relationships and humor.

The Oklahoma City T'ai Chi association was founded in 1984 by Mr. Krause and Peter Shumway.

The OKC T'ai Chi association has grown until it became Prairie Dance T'ai Chi through its close ties with Prairie Dance Theater, a modern dance company.


Rick has studied T'ai Chi since 1973 and has been teaching T'ai Chi since 1975. He has studied under Grand Master, Wei Lun Huang since 1986.

Sifu Rick Krause currently teaches classes in Yang style T'ai Chi, T'ai Chi Chi Kung, Two person T'ai Chi, T'ai Chi Sword, Lei Ho Ba Fa and meditation. His philosophy is to foster a learning climate of cooperation and mutual support with an appreciation for a diverse interest in many aspects of this healing art, from self defense to spiritual growth. He and his students have classes several days a week, and at several locations in the metropolitan area of Oklahoma City.
